Hollow Pretence

Several faces in this world we see,
Some smile, some laugh and few are happy.
Some are sad, some are gloomy,
And few have never cherished and submerged in dismay.

Thy person who is sad and thoughtful, seldom has a mask,
His feelings are pure as white, and transparent as water.
Often the secret horror lies behind the laughing souls, perhaps unknown to mankind,
The secrets are a lot more abrasive, hidden behind that laughter.

Largely it covers the emotions - which are mostly distressing and seldom happy.
Being a hypocrite seems helping the survival of thee today,
The pleasure of being one seems to be reaching a new high,
As even the person I truly love, feels it’s the traditional flair of my life.

Reunion with a lost love is always the happiest moment in one’s life,
But Alas! It’s heart breaking when even this relation corresponds only to be one sided and a mockery.
Soon the life seems to tie a knot and calls it an end,
The worth of living with someone you truly loved I guess is now just a pretend.
